The success of the "SANTO" films in the early sixties inspired a whole slew of copycat heroes, among them Neutron, Blue Demon and the Man in the Gold Mask; El Enmascarado de Oro had a short-lived film career, however, "THE INVISIBLE KILLER" being his one and only appearance; Jorge Rivero played the Man in the Gold Mask, and later went on to co-star in a number of Santo movies, and finally starred in a series of wrestling movies called "LIONS OF THE RING"; "THE INVISIBLE KILLER" has been misidfentified as a "NEUTRON" movie in various film reference books, but this stand-alone film had no connection whatsoever with that series
