Vance Armstrong, an aging, broke, embittered actor is haunted by the ghost of his former self -- a hugely popular character he played in the 50's called "The Masked Avenger": the first Black Superhero. The Avenger returns to show Vance a way he can make a quick million bucks and keep his long-ago promise to his devoted wife that he would always take care of her. All he has to do is die….
