Synopsis:
The TV spots highlight the tale of Gene and Louise, the Super Heroes next door, as they try to go about saving energy. Gene tries to cook dinner with his laser vision but ends up “cooking” the dishtowel, too. Louise— better known as “Starbright” for her capability to light up a room without electricity— overcompensates when her daughter asks for a “little light,” creating a blinding light with her Super Power Orb which causes the daughter and the dog to don thick arctic sunglasses. Watching from his window, bemused neighbor Bob fi nds these over-the-top Super Heroes “aren’t so super at saving energy or money.” Bob has energy-effi cient ENERGY STAR appliances, electronics, and thermostat which help him save money, energy, and the planet without lifting a finger.
