Zero to Hero

(2004) TV show

Synopsis:
Zero to Hero, the show that transforms contestants into superheroes. Only one challenger will triumph, as our two man-on-the-street contestants compete to develop the extraordinary powers of a superhero. Just watch them transform and complete their journey from Zero to Hero. Using their powers, they will attempt to complete a challenge and save the world from the clutches of the Evil Nemesis, a supervillain who will stop at nothing to crush our courageous heroes. As they race against each other, the Evil Nemesis will use her cunning cruelty, and big bazookas, to try and stop them. Fortunately they are not alone. Each has two friends to act as trusty sidekicks that will help them with their challenge. Both teams will have just one day to build their superhero. They must sift through an Aladdin's Cave of everyday junk to find the parts they need to construct their superpowers. Assisting the teams in their constructional quests will be our two engineers. In the Green Team, the man-with-the-plan is Jem Stansfield, an aeronautical engineer and self-confessed mad inventor. While man mountain Geraint Owen, an engineer with a passion for cars, will be the brains behind the Red Team. And it's not enough to act like superheroes, they must look like them too. To help with this transformation, our contestants will visit the Design Lab where comic book artist Stewart 'Staz' Johnson will create an alter ego to suit their image. Helping them into their tights is costume designer Venetia Ercolani. Otherwise known as the 'Goth with the Cloth', Venetia will seal the transformation by creating a costume for our heroes, complete, of course, with undies on the outside!
