Synopsis: Welcome to the world of Sortitout-man and his trusty sidekick, Dave. Their mission? To rid the world of apathy, apparently. In the case of tow trucks that park illegally, this means performing a ‘citizen’s clamping’. The civic-minded superheroes wear capes and tight suits and Sortitout-man has blue face. So, as you’d expect, they tend to get a reaction wherever they go. Not since Esther Rantzen’s That’s Life has there been a team prepared to tackle real issues affecting real people in such a hard-hitting fashion. They think nothing of picking up dog poo - with their bare hands - and showing it to dog owners in an attempt to shame them. The inventive pair manage to get over-amorous couples off the streets by providing the Sortitout-man Lovewagon. You fear for their personal safety as they brave the wrath of a white van driver on his mobile phone. They are acclaimed as heroes, however, when they tackle people who use a swimming pool as a toilet. These are the kind of people that most of us stay away from, so thanks Sortitout-man. And Dave. We salute you both. (from bbc.co.uk)
