Synopsis:
Fantômette is a comical yet poetic blend of fantasy and reality an unmistakable atmosphere, recognizable at first glance. Like Fantomas, Francoise becomes Fantomette when adventure calls. She puts on her famous yellow and black costume of justice and disappears into the night. Even her best friends Boulotte and Ficelle are unaware of her double life.

Fantomette was the first female superhero in French literature. The Fantomette books were aimed at eight- to twelve-year-old girls. There are 49 books in the series, which is still published today, as well as a comic book series by François Craenhals and a cartoon.
