Synopsis:
The superheroes popular in Hollywood cinema and, to a certain extent, in Hong Kong cinema, reigned over Turkish cinema from the 1960s to the 1980s. The first of these popular superheroes, following Tarzan's success of a decade back, was Fantoma. But this character should not be confused with the American comic book hero Phantom, created by Lee Falk. The crime master Fantoma (=Fantomas), adapted into Turkish films, was inspired by French writers Souvestre and Allain, who created him in the beginning of the last century.
