Directed by: Eric MatthiesGenre: Documentary
Synopsis: Watchmen's Dan Dreiberg is not the first Nite Owl. Before him there was Hollis Mason, a cop who was one of the first to don a mask to fight crime, back in the 1940s. He then joined the 'Minutemen', the group of crime fighters that also included the original Silk Spectre and the Comedian (whose murder sparks the events of Watchmen). In his tell-all autobiography, written in 1962 and 'extracted' after each of the first three chapters of Watchmen, he chronicles his decision to fight crime in this way, his time with the Minutemen, behind-the-scenes scandals (Comedian's attempted rape of Silk Spectre, The Silhouette's lesbianism) and mentions a few of the Watchmen (here called Crimebusters) in their earlier days.
