The episodes that made up the series The Adventures of Batman was first created for The Batman/Superman Hour. The Batman stories were two-parters, combined with a shorter story. The Batman cartoon
featured all the trappings familiar to viewers of the live action show and readers of the comics, both as far as supporting characters & villains and all the Bat-gimmicks. Robin normally appeared, and sometimes Batgirl did too. In 1969, Batman split from Superman for The Adventures of Batman.
